Are you testing for your ovulation? If you know when you ovulate then it gives good indication when to take a test roughly as you don’t know when your periods are due

Some people get positive pregnancy tests at 8 days post ovulation. But it’s recommended to wait until you miss your period to test. Let’s say you ovulated shortly after having sex, the earliest you could test and get a positive result would be 8 days later.
