Checking in!

How are we doing? I was in a groove, but my daughter has decided to start her terrible twos early so I'm struggling. Bluey was my #4 artist on Spotify this year 😅

Same! That 18 month mark has been a bit rough. Lots of emotions and 0 patience, no is his favorite word. But I think we might be getting over it. 🤞🏻not to jinx it.

@Veronica my daughter isn't saying no yet, but she says AY (hey) to try to get us to stop doing whatever it is she doesn't like, which is a lot 🫠

What songs does bluey have on Spotify??

Aww. My lo started her no and attitude about 2 months ago. She’s been calming down a bit however I’ve decided to start weaning overnight and she screamed bloody murder last night 😔 this is so hard! We’re all about Big bird and Elmo rn haha

We speak Spanish at home so we do Aprende Peque but the no is for getting dressed he'll say no and start shaking his head and like throwing himself backwards (super fun) but it's getting rarer. I get down to his level wait for him to calm down and explain in super simple terms. Sometimes it works other times it doesn't. When it doesn't we distract and when he calms down we talk about it. It's working but ufffff. He's officially off the boob but stills drink milk at night time and obsessed with the boob. Hand in shirt 24/7 sometimes to fall asleep he'll want to lay his head on the boob or just be touching it.

@Favi 🐄💕 mostly just the music from the episodes!

@Whitney I'm so sorry, that sounds really hard! Good luck 🍀

@Veronica keeping my cool is super hard for me, but I do my best to wait it out!

Same 😅 early terrible twos are rough

@Veronica does he wake up during the night for the boob? It’s hit or miss and I’ve decided to wean from mid night nursing sessions. She really doesn’t nurse anyway and literally is using me as a pacifier for like 1-3 mins. She wasn’t happy last night but finally fell asleep laying with her head on my chest 😂

Same my baby is 18 months and she has started to not listen hit me scream at me. I think we are all in the same boat. I started to go to family therapy just to get some help.

We're in the middle of the second 2 canines coming in and no one is sleeping. Can't wait for these teeth to finish coming in 😭😭

@Peach can you explain family therapy? I need all the help I can get lol

@JL I hear you! My girl had all four canines come in at once so it was ROUGH but at least it was over quick!

Same he’s constantly saying no to everything doesn’t want to get dressed doesn’t want to eat meat anymore or much of anything just apple sauce fruits sweet potatoes and bread it seems like smh hits me when I say no to something he wants I feel like I’m in survival mode again

Same! My daughter is 19m and I feel like the terrible twos has been going on for a couple of months now at least. I try to remind myself It’s just a phase.

Ohhh man, my daughter is doing the same thing…😬😬

@Whitney so he wakes up asking for milk and I give him a bottle. I exclusively pumped for the first 2 months and so he's used to the bottle. I don't want to take that away just yet. He's only waking up 3 times a night and it's just hand a bottle and he keeps going. No need to rock, cuddle, or anything.

I am right there with you! My son is 19 months old and has been SO clingy and temperamental for the past week. I am so physically and emotionally drained!
