Name Ideas

Hi all! My husband and I can’t decide on a boy name. His big sister’s name is Sofia. Our top 3 picks are Luca, John and Atlas. I’m from Turkey and would love if the name/pronounciation is easy in Turkish. Do you have any recommendations or which one of these names do you like the most?

Luca, I am not sure about Atlas as I think of a map rather than a name, but maybe that is because I have never met anyone called Atlas

Luca

I love Atlas. In the UK people would think it's an odd name as it's not as popular here as it is in Turkey. However most names are different now so it would still work. Luca and John are quite common names here

I like Atlas! It was on our list for our boy

I like Atlas out of all these to work in English and Turkish. A few other Turkish/English options we have on our list are Taylan, Tarik, Isaac/Isak, Danyel/Daniel, Elias/Ilyas, Noah/Nuh, Mikail/Michael

I love atlas, used to be my top pick! The only reason I didn’t go with it is because we felt like it was getting too popular here jn the US

I like Luca but it’s very popular at the moment. It was the number one boys name in Scotland last year, so depends where you live and if that bothers you

I like Luca and Atlas. My dad is half turkish and i found the turkish name Aydin when i was pregnant with my son. I changed it to Ayden to be pronounced the right way where i live. Its like Aiden/Aidan and easy to pronounce in both english and turkish. But i know a lot of people hate the Aiden names lol

Thank you all so much for your comments and suggestions! 🙏 Luca and Atlas are my favorites too. I forgot to add - his big sister’s name is Sofia.

Luca! 💙

I like them all but Sofia and Luca seem like the best pair

Luca 💙
