I love both 🥰
I have a childhood friend named Lydia... She was named after her Aunt Lydia. They are the only 2 Lydia's I've ever met. Growing up I never heard anyone say anything bad about her name.
love both 🤍
you could always call her Alivia as a less common alternative xx
Oooh you don’t hear many Lydias these days
I have a 7 month old named Lydia. I think it is increasing in popularity a bit, but I don't think its ever going to be as common as Olivia. I will say that people hear "Olivia" or "Livia" a lot when I say her name for the first time.
Lydia is definitely increasing in popularity but like the said Olivia is very popular. I'm actually torn between both names for the same reason though 😅
Both lovely names! Would you consider Livia? Similar sounding to Lydia and an alternative/nickname for Olivia. 💗
My step daughter’s name is Alyvia.. she’s 11 now. Same name, different spelling.. not a popular spelling either. I know a Lydia too.. she’s probably 13? Now? So not popular at this time Both are pretty names in my opinion!
Either is nice, I think I prefer Olivia but agree it’s frustrating that’s it’s so popular. You might also like Olivine Olivette Livia Alora Odette Ophelia
I almost did Olivia but I had no idea how popular it was lol . I love the name because of Olivia Culpo. I ended up going with Penelope and I am very happy and it suits her well
I love Lydia but now I feel like everyone is using it! 😭
Vera, Lyra, Amelia,
Olivia is nice but would you be open to these names below as well: Sapphire Moon Luna Arabella Layla Scarlett Aurora Serenity Let us know which one you chose

I know three Lydia’s (aged 55(ish), 35, and 2), I think I know about 10 Olivia’s (aged between 35-1). Like both names but I would personally go with Lydia for being less popular
I prefer Lydia as it's much less common
