Starting Solids?

Has anyone started solids with their August bub yet? I made the mistake of letting my LO lick my banana last week, and now everytime I eat something she grunts at me until I give her a taste. She has great neck control and can sit up with minimal support, definitely okay in a highchair At first she was just licking everything, but has been swallowing mash potato and similar the last few days. Everywhere I've looked says to start at a minimum of 4 months, but that's technically still 3 weeks away She has all the "ready for feeding cues", just not sure if I should commit to starting as she is still so young!

Yes we’ve started some purees and I’ve been letting him taste a lot of things I’ve been eating. He looks at things I’m holding now with more interest but still loves a bottle. Haha that’s cute she grunts so does mine. If you don’t feel ready you don’t have to commit to it I don’t think. It’s more of an experiment at 4 months old i thought 🤔

Their gestational tracts are not mature enough at 3 months. I really wouldn’t! WHO and AAP actually recommends 6 months

My baby girl is 3,5 months. She has a slower weight gain and is EBF. Today my GP suggested to offer solids to give more nutrition. I do not want to yet as I was planning to start solids at 6 months... I have been referred to a pediatrician to further review first.... it feels tooo small for me too to start solids 🥲

What about a Good organic formula instead of solids ? Is Bub getting all the milk out of your breast when she feeds? As in for milk and hind milk? I feel like if you have a good paediatrician guiding you it will put your mind more at ease about her weight gain. : )
