Would it be weird?
I LOVE the name Stella and it goes so well with our surname, but it is far too popular here for us to use as a first name for a child. However, if we ever have a girl in the future, Estelle would be one of the most likely middle name options.
We just rescued a hound puppy we are trying to name and everyone sort of digs Stella as a name for her.
Would it be weird to have a dog named Stella and then use Estelle as a middle name for a child if we were to have a daughter down the road?

I don’t think it’s too weird at all but I feel like after a while of having a dog named Stella it might change the vibe of the name for you and kinda off put you from using Estelle/ Stella for your child’s middle name so if it were me I would just save it if I really wanted it for a baby
Unless you’ll be calling your child by their middle name 24/7 I don’t think it would become weird at all! Both names are adorbs ❤️
I love the name Estelle no it's not weird!
Because it'd be a middle name I think it's fine, as you probably wouldn't use that very much anyway.

My sister's childhood dream dog that she finally got as a teenager was named Marni. She intends to name a future daughter Marni...I don't think it's weird if the names are close 🤷‍♀️ just like I don't think it's weird if my sister used the same name. I love the name Estelle!
