Boobs leaking?

Hello, It’s my first time pregnant and google doesn’t seem to be helpful. I’ve noticed when I squeeze my nipples they leak a clear liquid. Not a lot, just a drop or so. I am only 18 weeks. Is this normal??? What is this??

its called colostrum and it is one of the most normal things to happen during pregnancy (:

Colostrum! Completely normal. I also leaked that early in my pregnancy. Sometimes it would be a little from one boob, sometimes both would soak through my shirt. But you shouldn’t be squeezing or expressing it. Look into safe colostrum collection usually after 37 weeks!

@Jody @Abby It was leaking a bit then I squeezed as I wasn’t sure what was happening haha. I assume if I don’t do it again everything will be okay? I always thought colostrum was a yellow colour? Is this usually clear?

I was getting clear liquid after birth , my boobs never leaked at all during pregnancy and I don’t remember seeing yellow liquid when I pumped , but leaking during pregnancy is totally normal. Just don’t squeeze it. U can also wear those pads to prevent ur clothes from being wet if you’re out in public

squeezing a bit isn’t gonna send you into labor. some people like to collect their colostrum to have when baby is born but it’s not recommended to express/pump until 36 weeks
