If on a growth scan baby is measuring big, do they bring an already booked in elective forward, like they’d suggest inducing early for a vaginal birth? Or not because there isn’t the risk of shoulder dystocia?

No as they're essentially minimising or eliminating that risk by doing the c section.

The growth scans aren’t that accurate we got told we were having a big baby and he was 7lbs 6

they're not always accurate but sometimes they are. They can be up to 15% wrong in either direction! But in our case was spot on, they said he was 8lb 12oz at 38 weeks and he was born 7 days later at 8lb 13oz

They wouldn’t bring it forward earlier for a big baby. And they wouldn’t do it earlier than 39 weeks for an elective.

My daughter was measuring big (came out as 9lb 5oz) and I asked about early delivery. The consultant said they weren't worried about her weight, as that was genetics (no GD). They were more keen to get her to 39, so that her lungs were fully developed.
