I really considered something like this but honestly I think it would have been a waste of money, in the grand scheme of things they’re eating mushy/blended food for not that long before moving on to whole (soft/steamed) foods etc. I think if it’s not too expensive then go for it, but all of the ones I saw were quite pricey. I just ended up steaming veg in a pan and mushed them with a fork which worked fine

Most of them are over 200£ 🥲bit much for something to be untouched in the cabinet 🤣

Following - would also like to know what others think on this as will be starting solids in new year x

Honestly I don't think they're worth it. You can do all those things with items you already have, or could use for adult food. For example we got a regular food steamer which we use to make her purees as well as our own food (I've really been wanting to make steamed dumplings 😅) and I got a portable blender off temu that works great to blend her food or make smoothies on the go

Once they are 6 months there is no need even for purees you can just mash it with a fork so they seem pointless to me 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wouldn’t bother wasting money on it. If you do want to blend anything, just use a normal blender. From 6 months onwards you’d want to try chunkier food x

I just used my house blender and the outcome was the same 🤷🏾‍♀️.

Hand blender, or our smoothie mixer. Wouldn't spend extra money on this. Takes up too much space too.

I bought this blender. It was really helpful for the first few months when baby eats only soft or blended foot. I have to add I did both baby-led weaning and spoon-feeding him. However, from 9-10 months old baby could eat chunky food and it barely used it since then. So I had to sell it.

I just used a fork/spoon to mash it after boiling them. I had no space for any more gadgets.

I used the above I still use it now and my daughter is 3, I use it for blending bread to make breadcrumbs to make home made chicken nuggets

They are handy I had a weird brand from Amazon but it was quick, steamed it then whizzed it - done!

No need really I just used a pan to steam and a fork first month then LG started eating what we eat .. I would cook without salt ….

I just have a cheap hand blender. Steam or boil what I'm making for her and then blits with the hand blender or if I want lumps I'll use a fork

Just get a stick blender it does the same thing , is cheaper and has other uses

Waste of money. I just used my ninja and immersion blender. Just use whatever food processor or blender you already own If you really think you need one, I see them at secondhand store all the time for less than $10

I did baby led weaning so something like this would have been a waste of money. I didn't want to spend my days pureeing so we went straight in with normal food. You can probably buy cheaper blenders that aren't specific to baby food

I just used my smoothie blender 🤷‍♀️😂

Nope! Didn’t do purées went straight to solids at 6 months

No just buy a ninja food processor it does everything

Just used a hand blender I already had. But we did a combo of puree and BLW so wasn’t worth buying a new gadget for us.
