I think we started it when she was about 2 months old. I liked that it wasn’t something that we’d have to give indefinitely — our lactation consultant said when she suggested it that if we gave the baby a box of Evivo, the bacteria should establish itself in her guts and we shouldn’t need to keep dosing her after that. I’m sufficiently convinced that it helped that if/when we have another baby, I’d plan to start Evivo within the first month or so to hopefully save some digestive upset!
It sounds like allergies. All of my babies had this and I had to keep a food journal or go get yourself tested for food allergies, and sensitivities. I was able to steer clear of all the allergen foods, and my babies completely stopped being gassy and fussy and they never sped up after eating anymore. If you’re doing formula with your baby, I would recommend doing a goat milk formula and making sure that no seed oils or additives Are in it. Lots of formulas in the US have a ton of junk in them. 👍
We used it and I think it helped! Our baby wasn’t super fussy but she was spitting up a lot and had trouble with painful gas, very frequent poops (like ten times a day or more), and a persistent diaper rash (and it’s not like we weren’t changing her diapers when they needed it). It’s a little hard to tell what was the probiotic and what is due to other factors (like her digestive system maturing or whatever) but now she spits up much less frequently, farts efficiently, is pooping at a much more reasonable frequency (like a few times a day instead of constant wet sharts haha), and her diaper rash healed. I’m pretty sure the healed diaper rash is at least partly due to Evivo because when we were about halfway done with the box I had to do a course of antibiotics and her diaper rash started coming back. It healed again after I finished the antibiotics and we continued Evivo. I will say our baby hated taking it in bottles and we found giving it as a paste much more convenient.
