Spoon feeding

Anyone else still spoon feed things such as porridge, weetabix? He can use a fork / spoon but I can't be bothered with the clean up after and so much goes to waste when he does it himself. If I feed him he has the whole bowl no mess, if he does it half of it's over his face lap and hands. I understand letting them learn but he knows how to use them as I let him most meal times but breakfast foods are just a killer. Especially as I give him Brekky once he's dressed as he doesn't like to eat first thing

This is exactly me, if he eats with a spoon is a mess everywhere and I need to change all his clothes after. I let him eat the solid stuff with his hands and give him a spoon for banana.for example and he practices using that sometimes too

I still “help” my boy haha he equally doesn’t like messy hands so it works out okay!

My son was the same until a couple of weeks ago, we’ve really worked on getting him to use his spoon properly! We did a lot of hand over hand, and now he’s almost perfect. I would recommend using bibado bibs or something similar if you’re worried about them getting their clothes messy. Honestly it’s one of them things that you have to be consistent with :)

Yeah, i feed him or it's everywhere, including all over the dog who then needs bathing 😭
