Self-Referral

I was told by my Doctors surgery that I needed to self-refer to the midwives using ‘Badger Notes’. I filled in the information on the link they sent and have not heard anything since. Does anyone know roughly how long it takes for the midwives to contact you after submitting the forms?

I was told about two weeks which is about right, I think it’s usually when you’re around 8-10 weeks as your first appointment will be around then too

I didn’t hear anything and I got to 9 weeks and called them to ask what was going on.. it appeared I had an appointment the following day but no one had called to tell me! I would just give them a call to make sure it’s all been received. At the first appointment you get given a personal password to log in to the site which then has all your medical notes

Thanks! I’m not 100% how far along I am so was hoping they would be in contact fairly soon so I can explain to the midwife!

I think it took about two weeks to get an acknowledgment and be introduced to my midwife and arrange the first appointment.

If you’ve been waiting a long time, call them for reassurance .
