Fish dish inspiration please

I am not a fan of fish, hate string fishy smell, can't stand tuna or fish fingers. Has anyone got any fish recipes that aren't too strong smelling as I would love to like fish and my little one is weaning so want give him fish dishes

Fish cakes is always a good one. You can put in whatever fish you don't mind the smell/taste of, mashed potato and whatever veggies/herbs you have in. You can totally customise it to what you have/will eat. So it's not got a tough crumb depending on where you are with weaning, you can just fry it after flooring it a little You can use poached frozen fish/tinned fish if cost is a concern too. I'd start with a recipe like this https://theallergymumsclub.com/quick-easy-fishcakes-kids-egg-free/ Hope this helps 😊

Smoke or grill of any of the fish type just add lemon It helps suppress the smell and add flavor

@Luci is there a fish you would say that is more milder than others?

I currently don't like any fish at all

White fish tends to not be the "fishiest", so things like cod, Pollock, coly. If you're doing white fish I would buy frozen fillets so you only have to get out what you'd use, defrost it and then poach it in milk before putting it in the fishcakes if that's the recipe you go with. I never used to like fish as a kid, but I could cope with white fish. Especially if it was fish and chips, but I think that was mainly me just loving batter 😂

@Luci thank I really want too like fish I will eat anything but fish so it not like I'm a fussy eater but I really want to show my son me eating fish too
