Throwing everything

My 13 month old has always occasionally thrown food or other things on the floor but now it’s constant? Every meal he throws his food on the floor and once he’s had a drink throws his cup too. We’ve broke 3 water bottles this past week😂 after he’s thrown it he will get upset and point to the floor. How do I get him to stop throwing during meal times? I wonder sometimes if it’s because he doesn’t like it so I’ve tired to show him to put it to the side but it’s not changing anything😩 I know it’s just a development thing but we are throwing full dinners on the floor now😂😩

My son does this too he's 14 months , he throws it at the dog, then laughs followed quickly with crying and screaming 😂, I think we are just going to have to ride it out ( I hope it doesn't last long for either of us !)

My son used to do this a lot with food too but it just gradually stopped overtime. Would just say ‘food stays on the table’ everytime and now I can’t think when the last time he did it was, he’s 2yrs 8months so was probably around the 2yr mark maybe 🤔 He still throws toys occasionally but we’ve just been re-directing him to throw soft things instead so hopefully the throwing will be fully done with soon! Good luck x

21 months here and still going through this. Stay strong 💪

My son is 15 months old now snd he started doing that just after he turned 1. He is only doing it the past few weeks to get my attention, so he will grow out of it soon enough. I think it's to do with them discovering gravity and trying to be more independent

My little one is 15months and does this. It’s super frustrating at times cause you put so much time and effort in doing meals for it to be literally on the floor in 5s
