There are really no reputable and safe medicines until after 4. Humidifier, steam baths, and nasal aspirators are the best options. Motrin for discomfort and fever. Hope your little one feels better soon!

My daughter caught it when she was 6 1/2 months she had fluid in her chest she had ammonia it was hard for her to breathe and she stayed in the hospital for 1week but every baby symptom aren’t the same

My daughter has had RSV twice. Once when she was 4 months old and once when she was around 1 year old. Luckily she did not need hospitalized either time but not a fun experience. Lots of steam showers and we had a nebulizer

Yeah mine had it through Thanksgiving. It wasn’t too bad for her. She did have a bad cough but the pediatrician prescribed a nebulizer which she only had to use like 3 times total. She had the RSV vaccine when she was a baby so her symptoms could have been worse. The 5th & 6th day of RSV were the worst for her because she had a fever but after that hump she got better pretty fast. It really helps to have the humidifier like right next to their crib going all day and night to keep the moisture in the air. Also, the pediatrician said to not use cough syrup or any cold medicine because it suppresses the cough and you want them to get out what is in their lungs not Hold it in. Also use nasal aspirant it’s

My daughter had RSV this time last year (7 months old). Sadly there’s not much you can do at a really young age. Nebulizer treatments and gentle but stern patting on the back helps break up the congestion. I think the thing that helped the most was the constant cuddles. She stayed on my chest practically the whole week we were in the infant ICU.

I’m currently dealing with it with my 3 year old…I’m reading a lot of comments saying a breathing treatment but when I asked for one for her cough they told me it wouldn’t help…I feel like she needs cause she can’t cough up the mucus and it’s choking her…they also told me to do Zyrtec to help dry it up…I hope your baby gets better! It’s been a struggle…definitely agree with the nasal spray and suction and steamy shower room…
