Nursery fees

Anyone’s child at nursery 2 days per week with 15 hours funding - i’m sure our nursery are charging too much and won’t provide a breakdown. How much is your monthly bill? Super random but thanks!

Ours has halved as they split the 15 hours across 50 weeks of the year rather than 38. So it works out for us we get 7 hours one day then the rest the next day that week. It does work out a bit cheaper for us.

My little one goes 2 days a week (8am-6pm) and has the 15 hours spread all year round so it works out at 11 hours a week that are funded. Our monthly invoices are £423

My little one also goes 2 days a week. They spread it over the year so we get 12 hours free a week. Do you also use tax free child care because that helps a lot! Before the tax free ours is £515 but then obviously 20% extra off with tax free x

My little girl goes Monday and Wednesday 8:45 - 4:45 and I just need to pay for her dinner and tea and then I pay from 3:45 - 4:45 because the free hours don’t cover after 3:45 and I pay £80 a month roughly x

Term time only that is x

My little one goes 2 days a week with the funding and the 20% tax free. They spread the hours across the year abd the funding is only valid in term time. We pay £206.70 before the tax free discount.

We are at a term time only nursery doing 2 days a week and pay £340 a month after funding is taken off. I think we pay £29 top up for a fully funded day (10 hours) and £56 for a half funded day (5 hours). It's a crazy amount as a top up but it's what they need to be able to pay their staff and stay open and would be more expensive if we moved to a full year nursery, so we just go with it

My LO has been going 1 full day 8-6, and 2 half days, bills have been £120 a month including lunches and teas. It’s approx £100/£25 for half a day from the breakdown of bill. We do term time only x

@Katy Nutter I’ve not heard of it not covering particular times! Why is that? Have they explained?

Do you have food and nappies etc included? Just mentioning as the prices the ladies are saying here vary massively and I can only assume some children go to nurseries who provide all of that and some don’t (otherwise I need to move to get childcare that bloody cheap! 😂)

Mine includes everything, food, nappies etc...

Area you live will depend on price too. South would be more than north. Nappies etc are on top of reduction.

It truly sucks down here in the south 💸

@Caley I think they class 3:45-4:45 as ‘afternoon club’ and then also 7:45-8:45 as breakfast club! I provide nappies but wipes and food are included x

Thank you all! It is very varied! We’re in the south, doesn’t include nappies. It’s £158 for two sessions per week unfunded and they’re charging £460 for one month (9 sessions) - it’s 50 weeks of the year. The invoice isn’t broken down at all so it’s quite confusing! I did do some maths but it doesn’t equal £460! We get 11.4 funded hours per week and nursery is 23 hours per week.

It’s an absolute minefield and sometimes I think they make it so confusing so people just deal with it because they have to!

@Katy Nutter oh I see! There’s so many options isn’t there. I had no idea! All of the places local to me that I viewed were all full time 7-6 with food and toiletries included. I couldn’t/didn’t find any options that were ‘BYO’ style
