@Kayleigh thank you. i wasnt being rude i was concerned bc if something were to happen i would literally never talk to her again
“While I appreciate you helping me with xyz (idk if she drives him to daycare etc) I will not stop advocating for my kid and enforcing my parental rights when it comes to my own childs safety. That’s my responsibility and as my mom you should respect that.” *insert YouTube crash tests with kids in puffy coat in text message* lol
jackets in car seat are so dangerous! please keep advocating for your LO to be safe. From your mum text it seems to be a lot of resentment and some tough feelings might be worth to sit down for a conversation and ask what makes her say she feels like walking on eggshells. At the end of the day she's ur mum and I bet you would like her to be included and feel comfortable
@Patience thank you!! like i dont know why okd heads think their way is the only way. my son wears a big blue puffer so u can only imagine how uncomfortable and unsafe that is!! she deliberately went against my wishes and that’s exactly why i dont allow her to do nun for him or watch him
@Patience yes! my mom tried to get my baby ti be forward Facing way before i was comfortable all because “ we did it back in the day” girl i dont give a HOOT
@Klaudia she said that only because she thinks its ok for her to go around ranting about me and when i say something she wants to get offended and push the whole”i cant say nothing to you” no its how you say things
The other day my mil buckled my newborn in and it was soooo loose so I explained (for at least the 10th time) it needs to be tightened. She’s all “but he can’t crawl out” I’m like yeah, not the point… 🤣 moral of the story is they have such outdated advice. It’s also unsafe to wear a coat in the car seat because it can make the straps slide and it won’t protect the kiddo effectively. If your mom was in charge she needs to ensure he’s buckled in safely up to your standards.
“Don’t check me please” I’d be like this is literally a matter of life and death and I will “check” you if needed. Coats are soooo dangerous in the car I would just send safety videos advising to take the coat off. If she doesn’t like it she doesn’t have to be around the baby again.
No you’re not tripping and her response is really lame. It is dangerous and a lot of these old heads think they know better. My mom was giving me 20 year outdated info with my 1 year old thinking things haven’t changed.
