@Sam thanks I can see how that works. Once I’ve gotten a few burps I’ll hold him on his side and then bring him up to burp and i usually get a big one
i had this issue and talked to his pediatrician about it and they say that mamas know their babies best. if you think they are ok don’t bother too bad. but if it seems concerning, i will try to put some links to videos that show massages you can do to relive gas. im not sure if you are able to give gas drops to baby since he’s so young but that’s also an option if the dr doesn’t see an issue. my boy had began to burp himself in a way. while his chest area is elevated while laying on my chest or on boppie, and it helps as well
My LO was like this early on, try different techniques to see which he is comfortable with best.. my little ended up being more comfortable with moving her in circles or moving her hips around in circles.
We always struggled to burp with all the common techniques. We then read about this one and it really worked well- lay the baby down flat for two minutes, then pick up and hold him vertically for one minute. Keep repeating this for 10 minutes (or until you get the burps out). The time seems to help the gas collect and then the transition from flat to upright helps it out.
