What do you do when your child asks for snacks after they’ve got in bed at bedtime?

So they’ve had, breakfast, lunch and dinner plus snacks and some milk at bedtime. Then once in bed after bath/toothbrushing they ask for snacks. What’s the best thing to do?

My son's not quite there yet but I'd say ok but you need to eat a vegetable or fruit. If you're really hungry you can have something like carrot sticks or an apple, and that will tide you over till morning. And have to brush teeth again after. Thats what my mom did for us as kids and it worked out fine for us

Did they have dessert after dinner? My little boy doesn't have anything after dessert.

I just tell my son he has to wait for breakfast ( he's 2.5 years old) because he snacks quite a bit so I know he just says he wants a snack to prolong bedtime Maybe 10 minutes before brushing teeth, give a "last call" for snacks

I do snack time as close to the time we climb into bed as possible. After that I offer a drink first and if he is still saying he is hungry and did finish his last snack I believe him and we have another snack.

Nope you can have breakfast in the morning, simple as.

We offer a snack with milk just before we go upstairs (2.5 year old). But it's always the same thing so it isn't more interesting than dinner.
