No nursery/home schooling

Hi guys - I've just pulled my 21month old out of nursery as we're doing a bit of travelling until March after Christmas and it didn't seem worthwhile to keep paying just to keep the space. I'm considering keeping him out for the rest of the year or until he's 3, but haven't made any decisions yet as I'll still be working from home (flexibly and will be working when he sleeps/independently plays) however I wanted to know if anybody is doing the same - solely looking after a 2 year old without nursery or grandparents. What sort of activities do you do, are you in touch with local groups, how do you manage ensuring that the developmental needs are being met? I'm not concrete on any plans and may send him back to nursery earlier but I'm just conscious these months are whizzing by and I don't want to miss the time whilst I have it Any advice welcome x

My LO doesn’t go to nursery, she’s at home with either me or my husband. We play at home with Legos and dolls, use flash cards and draw. We also use screen time for when I need to get things done around the house. We try to get out of the house every other day, even if it’s just to go across the road to the shop. We play in the garden and with our dog. We don’t do a lot of group activities: we go to story time at the library once a week, and I’m trying to go back to swimming lessons. I try to meet with my friends who have young children twice a month for some playing time.

My daughter doesn’t go to nursery, me and my ex work opposite days so she spends everyday with one of us. We go to toddler groups, story time, stay and plays, imagination play centres, farms, soft play, walks, outdoor art club, forest school sessions. Anything to get out of the house. At home we build blocks, she helps with housework, we play with dolls and the rest of her toys, read books, paint.
