Unvaccinated preschooler

My husband and I have a beautiful 3 year old boy who is full of energy. He has a speech delay and has phased out of early intervention once he turned 3 and is currently continuing speech therapy at a different facility. My son started walking late at 20 months and his neurologist recommends a therapeutic preschool so he can receive other services if he needs it. My husband and I both agreed to not vaccinate our future children when we first got together. The issue that we have now is the for the neurologist recommendation, my son would need to be vaccinated to enter into the NYC school system after their evaluation. We want to homeschool our son. My son also has asthma, severe allergies and eczema. I’m concerned also for his health if he’s exposed to foods that he’s allergic to at school. What would you do if you were in this situation?

homeschool without question. he would have to get all those vaccines in a very short amount of time. which would increase the risks even more than the regular schedule already poses 🤷🏽‍♀️ there are online public schools if you want the option to not have to do the homeschooling yourself.

Thanks for replying. This is also what we thought as well, that the risk would increase more and that maybe his symptoms might get worse after vaccinating.

I came to say the same thing. My daughter is on dialysis and has the option to do homeschooling, even tho thats a little different to your situation, im sure asthma & severe allergies qualifies him for such… speak to his doctors and let them know your concerns about him being exposed to a school setting. Maybe they can give him a medical recommendation. 🫶🏽
