I’m flying with my 6 month old for the first time tonight and the PPA is REAL. Anyone have advice or comforting words please send them my way!

Try to postpone sleeping if your LO is receptive to that kind of thing, and plan to give a bottle / breastfeed during takeoff

We flew with our 6 month old yesterday! I wore him on my chest for as long as he’d let me and gave a paci during takeoff and landing. When he was antsy we had a few of his toys to play and chew. Try to get energy out before you board if you can. They’ll check your car seat and stroller at the gate for free. Let security know if you have any breastmilk or formula and they may have to test it. Try not to stress! And don’t give a F what anyone else thinks. You’ve got this!!

It probably won’t be as bad as you’re imagining! I find infants fairly easy to travel with. Toddlers are another story lol. Make sure baby is fed beforehand if possible, comfortable. Have some little toys handy. Not sure if your plane has screens but if they do and you’re ok with a few min of screen time, they have those dancing fruits to pick from if you need to distract baby at some point.

Just took our 5.5 month old on a trip and she did great! My advice would be to play as much as possible right before the flight to tire them out, feed during take off to help with the pressure, lastly don’t worry about others judging. We were lucky to have everyone be very nice on our flights but at the end of the day it’s a baby and if they cry that’s totally normal and if anyone has a problem then that says a lot about what kind of person they are…

We flew with ours two days ago. My boy fell asleep after eating on takeoff, but it was difficult because he has some serious fear of missing out. I think the “worst” part was waiting for boarding because we were sitting for 2hrs before a 3.5hr flight 😬
