19 month sleep

I know everyone says it’s too early to drop to no naps but no matter what I do, if my little girl has a nap during the day then it is a nightmare to get her to sleep at night and she then wakes up super early in the morning! We have tried earlier day naps, later day naps, waking her up to stop her napping so much in the day etc. It’s also becoming increasingly harder to get her to nap in the day, no matter how much or little we do. Anyone else in the same boat?

Something I’m trying to do is not listen to those saying what my child should or shouldn’t do based on their age. If it works for you & your family then drop the nap. We aren’t quite there at the moment but my little boy is just an awful sleeper so regardless of whether he has a nap, however long or short, he still doesn’t sleep through & fights bedtime 😂 However he does not nap at nursery & his days are increasing next week so I can see how it’s going to go & I won’t be surprised if day naps stop for us. If dropping it helps you all get a full nights sleep then go for it ☺️x

Thank you for this @LaurenI needed to hear this today ❤️

Every child is different and some children do drop naps earlier than other. My boy is currently fighting all sleeping, naps and bedtime, but he will fight bedtime even if he hasn't had a nap. But he also struggles without a nap and is very grumpy. So I feel in my house is just a phase we are going through. But it may be different for you x

Thank you too @Sarah
