Your partner can stay with you the whole time you’re in hospital, my partner slept in the bed with me
Partners can stay but I don’t think they like it. There were signs on the postnatal ward saying partners have to stay in the chairs not the bed and not use the bathroom facilities. When I was in none of the partners stayed in my ward except one whose partner had had a c section
Yes partners can stay. When I was in I made my partner go home so he could rest cos I knew I wouldn’t get a good sleep anyway so thought he would be more help to me on a full nights rest. Think there was only one dad who stayed in our joint room of 4 women. Come morning they both look shattered bless them 🙈 I was exhausted too after having a brutal emergency c section but when my partner arrived first thing on the morning I felt he was much more help. Depends on your personal preference but at least you have the option 🤷🏻♀️ x
@Emma same I sent my fella home it was a long labour and he was there throughout. Made such a difference when he came back next day
Mine did but they have to sleep on chairs It's not comfortable at all
Just to make this clear for everyone as I’ve just been. Partners can stay but not allowed to leave the ward between 11-6 on a night. They can’t sleep in the bed or the floor has to be the chair but I have more information leaflet wise if anyone would like x
I'm sure I read partners can stay overnight but aren't allowed to leave until the visiting hours next day , must be a safety thing. I might be wrong though x
