@Laura That's good to know thank you Laura. I've only been old at the moment that it will be confirmed whether it will be fresh or frozen, but I have asked my clinic today for some more information as the start date is getting closer!
If you’ve got PCOS it’s highly likely to be a frozen transfer. Best of luck 💛🫶🏻
20 does seem to be the number, they monitor your follicle count at your scans and prepare you for frozen if likely. They will also give you a different trigger shot if OHSS risk (one that doesn't contain HCG). I had 22 eggs collected and did a frozen transfer. Definitely glad I did, it gave my body a chance to recover from the procedure as a whole (I didn't get OHSS).
Hiii wishing you all the best. I have PCOS they monitored well and luckily didn't have OHSS and I had a fresh transfer that was successful. If there are signs of OHSS they said to me that they would stop the meds and wait for it all to calm down and try again with different meds on the second round of IVF XX
I have PCOS and did FET, first transfer was successful. I also had OHSS. They gave me an injection to help and then pills after (starts with a ‘c’ I forgot sorry). I was on Tylenol, oxys and ibuprofen 800s round the clock. Plus I had my inhaler and had to go to the hospital for dehydration and pain after retrieval. We had to wait a month for transfer for my ovaries to somewhat go back to normal. Had my retrieval in Oct and the FET in December
They retrieved 80 embryos, we ended with 31 blast/euploid after testing
Hi, good luck with your IVF journey! I have PCOS and was at risk of OHSS but I was advised to drink 3-4L of water daily, alongside daily monitoring and controlled meds and luckily I didn’t get it! Sending you lots of baby dust ✨
I have PCOS and endo. I’ve done 2 cycles of IVF. The first we collected 11 eggs but only 2 made it to the blastocyst stage. The second we collected 13 and 5 made it to the blastocyst stage. We did frozen transfers to allow time in between retrieval and transfer for my body and hormones to calm down a bit. Our first transfer of our second cycle was a success!
Hello, I have PCOS and was at risk for OHSS. When I had my egg retrieval, they retrieved 43 eggs and due to the risk of OHSS, it was a freeze all cycle. Thankfully, I didnt get OHSS. Atleast my body was able to have time to recover. I am currently in preparation for my FET (frozen embryo transfer) on February 11th! Good luck to you!
I have PCOS and I had 42 eggs collected. I triggered with Lupron I believe to help prevent OHSS. With this trigger I could not do a fresh transfer. I’m not going to lie I was upset. My frozen transfer is now almost 2.5. The frozen transfer gave my body a time to rest and reset.
I was on a super low dose as I have PCO but still froze all. Had way too many collected
If they’re expecting to collect a high amount of eggs (usually over 20) then it will be a freeze all cycle and a frozen transfer following that x
