Induction

Should I feel bad for wanting to be induced a week before my due date just for my own comfort? I have 2 kids already (2.5yo and 4yo) and it’s just getting so hard. I just feel bad and feel like other moms will judge for inducing early. With both boys I induced on their due dates.

Elective C-section

I’m thinking about having an elective C-section. This is my first baby. I do have an apron tummy so would a C-section be a good idea as I’m worried about my skin rubbing on the incision and scar? I don’t want it to get irritated or anything. Pre pregnancy I was a size 24 UK. Any idea of where I could get clothes fro...

Scared of giving birth ?

I’m literally so so scared of a second C-section 😭 first time around I was induced and it was very difficult labour around 30 hours of induction and ended up in emergency C-section. I m not opting for natural labour this time because of the trauma from the last time. At the same time I’m scared of C-section birth…

C-section procedure & how long does it take

I’m feeling anxious about the procedure and would like to find out what to expect as much as possible please. How long does it take for the spinal to work & wear off? Do they have to start the c-sec quite quickly after anaesthetics? How long does the entire procedure take before seeing your baby once you’re whee...

Luton and Dunstable hospital?

Hi all, I’ve just had a shocking first scan appt and don’t have much hope for having my baby at L&D - the staff were horrible, the environment wasn’t clean, they made me wait 30mins for my appt with a full bladder and didn’t explain anything or answer my questions adequately during the scan. On top of this, a recen...

To sweep or not to sweep?

I’m 39+5 and have lost a significant amount of my mucus plug today. I was going to contact the hospital today to request a sweep (my community midwife can’t fit me in until I’m 40+3) but I’m now wondering if I should just wait it out and see what happens? I know losing mucus plug isn’t necessarily an indicator but ...
