Induction stories (ideally positive)

Hey everyone, can I have some positive experiences from inductions please? I’m not due till February, I’m consultant-led and my obstetrician said there’s no reason I wouldn’t be able to be induced at 39 weeks as I expressed concerns that I didn’t want to go over my due date. I’ve heard plenty of the bad induction st...

Premature Baby

Hi, My LB was born 7 weeks early - he is now 17 weeks actual (10 weeks corrected). He only weighs 11lb6 and is still only taking maximum of 4oz in a feed. Anyone experience this or any advice? GP is so nervous to offer advice as he’s premature so I’m often left in the dark. On another note, should he actually be ...

Is VBAC an option after 2 csections?

I have 2 little ones who are 13.5 months apart and both were Csections. My youngest is now 2 years and 3 months old. I’m wanting to have a 3rd and potentially have a VBAC, but not sure if it’s even possible with having 2 basically back to back csections. Has anyone had a successful VBAC experience under similar circ...

33 weeks 97% percentile

I had a midwife appointment today which resulted in a trip to the hospital. It turns out my baby is too big for 33 + weeks and is coming in at 6lbs 7oz. I have an appointment to discuss with a consultant in 2 weeks by which point I will be 35 + weeks. Has anyone had a baby that comes in over the “safe” weight ...

Elective C section

I’m electing for a c section for my first baby due to my own choice & have thought a lot about my decision. I have a consultant appointment in 2 weeks and I have severe health anxiety and am just getting more and more worried the closer to the c section (however this is exactly what I want, I do not want a natural...

Mucus plug - how long now?

After feeling a bit weird all day, crampy and pressure in pelvis, I’ve just noticed what I think is a bloody show, very slightly brown tinted. I’m slightly on edge after a very quick first labour, so wondered how quickly labour started with those who experienced a bloody show?

Positive induction 💙

This is to anyone that is due to be induced and is perhaps nervous/anxious as all you hear are horror stories. I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy on the 5th October after having to be put in for an induction for obstetric cholestasis. Yes it was a long few days as I went in Wednesday night and didn’t have him til...

Body after C section

Is anyone else struggling a little with themselves after a c section? Like the acceptance side. I birthed a 10lb 1 baby girl and I was HUGE and had a c section. With my 7 year old I had a vaginal delivery, no stretch marks, bounced back pretty quick. This time I have the big scar, overhang, stretch marks and a lot m...

Contractions or not??

I’m 37 weeks, I’ve been having the usual tightenings for a while now, but never developed any pattern to them and no real pain accompanying them. Todsh I feel like they’re getting more frequent and more intense, slight back pain and thighs feel warm. I just can’t tell whether it’s contractions or he’s squirming and ...

Planned c section 36+5

Hi all did anyone have a planned c section at 36+5? They are doing mine earlier than planned and I think this is only due to space on the ward and feel a bit miffed that it’s being brought forward because of this. I really wanted to make it past 37 weeks ☹️

Bleeding again after C section bleeding stops.

Im now 9 weeks post partum and stopped bleeding around 6-7 weeks after my c section. The last few days I’ve had very light but dark red bleeding (enough for an ultra thin liner) and wasn’t sure if it was my period. Has anyone had this at all? I’ve seen a comment on a post that said it isn’t normal and wondering wh...

C section

How did everyone get rid of the sticky residue from the dressing after a c section? My midwife took my dressing off today and is happy with the wound etc, but now I’m so sticky and my skin is sticking together 🙃 obviously can’t scrub it or use soap but my skin is sticking to other skin and it’s a gross feeling
