So maxis the third so have not had to stress about which school etc… but tonight the emotion of it all hit me, that’s my baby and he’s off to school 😭😭 with all the extra needs he’s got it seems even stranger to send him off to school! We’ve had a particularly rough few days so not sure if that why it’s hitting so…
Hey! Has anyone gone to the flying start stay and play at moorland primary in splott? I was thinking of going tomorrow but don’t want to just waltz in to the nursery as I’m not 100% sure what part is the actual nursery and what part is the flying start. Hoping that someone can help or atleast offer some advice 😂xx
She is so excited for school and has spoke about the headteacher of this school every single day since the open evening 🥲 Argh, over the moon 🥹
Didn’t get first choice of school so was going to appeal what sort of reasons will help with my appeal of why I should have that school ?
We're doing a nursery tour tomorrow (such a sad thought even though she won't be going until next year). What questions would you ask and what information would you want to find out? I want to be as prepared as possible and make sure my baby girl will be going to somewhere good!
I am the only one that apply late for primary school? I didn’t know I have to apply before the end of January for children born on 2021, she is not currently in nursery because we just muove in this area and they don’t have any place at the nursery we like it, I feel so Guilty for now knowing I need to register her ...
Did everyone get the school they wanted? I still cannot believe that our babies are starting soon 😭
My little girl is starting nursery next week she's going for 3 days and I feel really guilty about it. Any other babies going to nursery for 3 + days a week? I'm sure she'll really enjoy herself and the interaction, I just feel guilty for some reason!
I have 2 table options id like to get for my daughter but I'm not sure which one. If you were choosing one for your child which one would you go for? (pics will be in the comments)
Hello! Silly question, but when do our septwmber 2021 babies start reception? I feel a little bit buggered with nursery options as local to me only offer morning or afternoon sessions so im going to have to stick with childminder for the funding or else it'll bugger me up financially.. but then ive confused myself...
We didn’t get any of our choices 😩 So now will be sending her to private school ( will appeal in the meantime ) Is anyone else sending thier little one to private ? My only worry ( that a teacher mentioned to my husband ) that as the classes are smaller it can be a little more clicky ?
We’re planning to move to aus with my 2 children- will be age 2 and 4, what is the childcare for this age? From what I’ve read school doesn’t start until 6 in Australia. Is childcare for under 6’s paid for? In the UK we get government funded hours regardless of income, is it the same in Aus or is it all paid for?
I know it seems a bit early to be thinking about it but is anyone else thinking of childcare options for when they go back to work? I love being at home with my little one but at the same time I love my job so also itching to go back 🙈 So starting to think about what I'm going to do with him when this time comes…
Hi guys, I’ve just had my email regarding my son’s school place for September 25. It’s going to sound thick, but do year R students do PE? Or is that a question I’ll have to ask his school? Because I’ve got a teenage stepdaughter in school and know we’re going to pay a couple of hundred to her mum for her uniform ...
Anyone else still waiting for the school placement news? Iv had nothing
I still haven’t received an email or anything :( waited ages for today and nothing
This might be an obvious question but my daughter is due to start nursery on 19th May but as she didn’t turn 9 months until last week she doesn’t get the 15 funded nursery hours until September. Does that mean I shouldn’t apply until then or do I still need to apply now? Also by September she will be entitled to 30 ...
I’m always back and fourth on wether it’s the right decision, I think mines definitely academically and socially ready, I just don’t know how they’d cope with the full days! Thinking of asking for part time schooling.
Hi girls, I am trying to figure out how This works, I missed a call from hmrc and now struggling to figure out who to speak to. I have a code for the free hours, as my child is within the criteria and I am back at work, does this mean I can use it? What do I do with the nursery?
Thinking of putting my LG in nursery for 1 or 2 days a week (she's nearly 1). Know it will be a good few months before any nursery could take her. But was wondering about how much roughly it will be. Know there are a few 'free' hours nowadays. Does anyone's little one go nursery and get the standard free hours willi...
