Are we all sterilising our pump parts after every use? I’ve been pumping for 4/5 weeks now and have been sterilising my parts after each use which is very time consuming. I read online that some people put their parts in the fridge after every use for a 24 hour period. Any advice?
Since starting my baby on anti reflux milk, he’s been going longer gap without feeds. Most he’s gone without feed is 5 hours and he’s 10 weeks old. Should I be worried? Also I make 6oz but he usually drinks 4-5oz. I’m jsut worried because before he’d have milk every 3 hours, now it’s gone to 5 hour gaps sometimes. A...
My boy is 7 months tomorrow and has 6/7oz four times a day and a bottle in the night but I’ve just read on the formula tub he should be having 3 bottles a day at 7 months (I know this is just a guide) I’ve noticed he isn’t finishing his bottles anymore and doesn’t seem hungry. Weaning isn’t going great either so he ...
While I'm trying to breast feed I know my milk supply may take a bit to come in, does anyone who had a baby before have a recommended brand? I was considering Kirkland but I'm still on the fence.
Any other mom’s using Similac total comfort my WIC office told me this is the formula that I have to use and I can’t use Enfamil gentleease no more. I started giving it to my daughter but I don’t think it’s good for her. So I’m just seeing if anybody else uses this formula.
Has anyone child instead of going through a why phase gone through a what is a or what's is this. I'm calling it his tim burton phase ie from nightmare before Christmas lol 😆.
Is it ok that my 4 week old can go up to 5 hours without a feed We stopped waking her for feeds as she is gaining weight but can often go 3-5 hours between feeds. For reference she is exclusively bottle fed a mix of breast milk and formula and we give her between 4-5 ounces per feed It’s very rare she’ll wake up ...
Just found out that the purple lidded sterifeed bottles that we used with the hospital pump are actually single use only!! I have just ordered the white lidded ones which are reusable. Did anyone else not realise this? We have been using them for the last 5 weeks and sterilising after every use, not had any issues....
He’s been given it but refusing to feed at all. I did try to slowly donit by mixing with his normal formula but any more than half a dose he refuses to drink… even trying half it’s hard and I have to try add something to make the taste better. I’ve tried adding infacol. Dentinox and vanilla extract? Not had any chan...
Seems to be a lot of hype and pressure for these! I will work on them over the next couple of months, bottle has meant comfort for a YEAR, zero interest in forcing baby to change this all suddenly.
My little one is 16 weeks and her feeding schedule has gone wild. I try and offer her 5oz every 3 hours during the day. She sleeps through with no more than 1 night feed. Today she had a bottle of between 3-6oz at 7, 10, 12.30, 2.30, 5 and a top up at 6.30pm before bed at 7. But then she woke up an hour later screa...
How many feeds and or formula bottles feeds are your 10 month olds having? Currently doing a morning afternoon and bedtime breast feed.. is this enough? Baby is drinking lots of water having 3 meals and snacks during day... should I top up with a bottle sometime during day? Not sure when to fit it in??? Is yes how m...
Hi ladies, my girl is nearly 6 weeks and I just can’t get into any type of feeding routine with her. More often than not she wants feeding 4 or 5 ounces every couple of hours! I try her with the dummy in between feeds but she just won’t have any of it she just screams the place down till I feed her. In this normal? ...
How much is everyone’s 4 months old drinking during a 24 hour period? My little one is only having 5 bottles of 180ml and will average around 650-750ml a day. She doesn’t wake up during the night for feeds. I’m just wondering if she is having too little? She is only small 9th on the centile and she is following the...
Has anyone’s LO started to self wean away from formula? My LO was really poorly about a week ago and both solid/ formula reduced. He’s back on form with his eating but has no interest in milk at all and I mean like less than 10oz (HV not concerned) Not sure if I should be stressing about it or going with the flow 😂
Hi! My MIL looked after my 4 month old today and has somehow, we think, managed to add an extra 3 scoops of formula to his bottle. What should have been a 6oz bottle with 6 scoops is now possibly a bottle with 9 scoops. Should I be worried? Or, as a one-off incident, will he be fine? He didn't finish the bottle, ...
Any tips.....just got my EBF 5 month old to accept a bottle of formula today. I would like to incorporate 1 bottle a day. Any suggestions to when I should do this? Any tips of making formula with no machine? Feeling very new to the formula feeding thing and a bit lost. I am doing Pace feeding. Currently she will onl...
My little one was prescribed this milk for suspected cmpa. I gave her 3 bottles and each time projectile vomited the whole bottle up, more than what she would normal milk. Is this common when changing milks?
My boy is 1 next week and I’m still cleaning bottles with fairy liquid and Milton tabs and then putting them in the microwave steriliser. Am I wasting my time 😂?
The problem I’m having at the moment is once I’ve sterilised my daughters bottles the condensation on them stays there for what seems like forever and I’ve been told I can’t dry them off with a cloth/tea towel literally anything. I have no idea if it’s fine to leave the condensation in the bottle and feed her or if ...
