Takes 1.5 hours to put toddler to nap!

Excruciating 1.5-2 hours every day to put 2.5 year old to nap! Even when he is sleepy, can’t get him to sleep. I’m losing my mind, depressed and agitated. No control over anything, no breaks. Can’t do anything for myself. How do you get your toddler to nap?

Feeding to sleep

Any tips on how to stop my LG feeding to sleep. She won't take a dummy and during the day for her naps will have a feed and then fall asleep in a pushchair or in the car but for her night sleep she will only fall asleep from a feed. She is BF and we have started to introduce formula so we will have stopped BF by the...

But so far not so good, she’s screaming the place down and screaming that she’s scared. I don’t know what to do because it’s breaki...

Stuffed animal help..

Ok.. so my son has this stuffed lion that is his best friend. This thing goes all over with him. He’s had it since he was an infant. He sleeps with it, plays with it, takes it all over. It’s his chosen toy. Now, my MIL got household cleaner on him and decided to throw him in the washing machine and then the dryer...

6 months old naps

How many naps, and how many longer naps, does your 6-month-old take (or used to take)? I read that babies this age should have 2–3 naps a day, each lasting around 1 to 1.5 hours. My baby takes 4–5 naps, but they’re only about 30 minutes long. Thank you 💕

Night feeds

Breastfeeding mums - how are you settling your little ones in the night when they wake? I currently feed and he falls asleep on the boob and I pop him back into his next to me. This has always been the case and has always worked. However, he is currently going through sleep regression and is waking every 2hrs duri...

Holding rocking to sleep

Those who are holding or rocking to sleep, can you ever see them settling in their cot bed awake on their own? I can't! He just stands up and runs around it. I have been holding him to sleep on the sofa opposite his cot bed since the day he was born, but he's taking an hour to fall asleep and just rolls around on ...

Contact naps only during day

My 10 month old sleeps well at night in her cot but during the day it's impossible for her to nap unless it's a contact nap... I love the cuddles but it would be great if I could put her down at times and tidy/eat etc. If she falls asleep and I put her in the cot she immediately wakes and cries.. if I put her in the...

Is there a special crib for long babies?

No matter what direction I lay her down in, she wakes herself up rolling over and hitting the railings. I’m so tired of having to try to put her to sleep 3+ times 😞

Trapped by naps

Does anyone else feel completely trapped by their babies naps? My little girl will only nap in a crib/travel cot. She can nap on the go if it's in a moving car or moving pram but she'll then only sleep for 30 minutes. Now shes on 2 naps (most the time) if she has a short nap this just throws the whole day off So I...

Normal naps?

My 5 week old son seems to nap all day- we’re in a constant cycle throughout the day of wake-feed-change-sleep with ‘content’ wake windows that seem to be no more than 5-10 minutes. I haven’t been able to do any developmental play with him (e.g. tummy time, reading stories) and I’m worried he’s falling behind… but d...

Hoping for more than 3 hour sleep stretch

I haven’t sleep trained my baby very much. He is getting used to sleeping in his bassinet drowsy but awake. But I haven’t been consistent. I don’t have an intentional routine but I swaddle him and stay in the baby room where it’s dark until he falls asleep. He sleeps usually 3 hours his first sleep and then after t...
