What to do with excess annual leave?

I went back to work off maternity leave last Monday and have managed to use all of my accrued annual leave from when I was off to book one day a week off from the middle of September 2024 to August 2025. This basically means I’ve gone down to 4 days a week but still on a full wage. I found out a few weeks ago that...

KIT Days - What are my rights?

Do I have any? My employer apparently only pays you for the hours work and not the whole day. Is that allowed? I’m not paid hourly I have an annual salary so it seems a bit weird. Also, I think they dismiss you so how is that my fault? If they tell me to go home early then why am I losing out on pay?

What is the best way to take maternity leave?

Is it better to leave it as the standard way they pay you or does it work out better to ask for your maternity leave to be evenly spread out? Which way works out better? Is it better tax wise if it’s spread out over the year?

Maternity Exemption Certificate

Found out I was pregnant on 8/9. Went to doctors on the 20/9 and paid for 2 x prescription which was £19.80. I told my doctor’s pharmacy that I was pregnant but didn’t have my mat exemption cert yet. They said to keep hold of the card receipt for the payment and once I get the mat cert can claim it back as long as t...

Sure start maternity grant

Has anyone applied for this after baby was born? I'm only getting around to applying now and my baby is 5.5 months old. The form says part of it needs filled out by a doctor or midwife, but I don't have a midwife anymore and never get through to my GP. Has anyone Applied after baby was born and what did you do?
