I wanted to at my 6 week appointment but was scared about the procedure (I wanted to get the IUD). I put it off but was careful as I didn’t want another baby right now and eventually I went on the pill at 13 months PP.

I was still bleeding from birth when I went on pill they sed I could stopped the bleeding straight away stopped my period from coming as well everyone is saying I should have had my period first but surely my doc would have advised that I'm now 5 weeks pp x

I'm 6 weeks pp and just got the prescription from my midwife. It was my only postpartum appointment so it wasn't offered at any other time. My midwife said that since I'm exclusively pumping I may not get my period until I decide to stop pumping. Besides, it makes more sense to get on something before your first period since your period means you ovulated and your risk of pregnancy would be pretty high.

I waited until first period which i thought is what you were supposed to do. It might also depend on what method you choose

I went back on it at 6 weeks. The doctor will have had their reasons. If you’re wondering why you could always just ask why they did that and it might help you understand. Everyone body is different and so all work differently. You don’t need to have a period to go on contraception 😊. Hope you’re having a good day! 🌻

Mine was always at the 6weeks appointment

I was fine going on it till everyone was saying I should have waited xx

Your doctor would have made a recommendation and it is your body and your choice remember. It’s what worked for you x

Following my first I didn’t go on contraception. I was sexually active from 3 weeks postpartum. Following my second I waited for 6 weeks to be sexually active and was using condoms from 6 weeks postpartum and on the mini pill from 6 weeks postpartum. Then at about a year postpartum I had the implant.

iv hurd so many different things about waiting to sexually active some say when ur ready done say 6 weeks some say 9 weeks some say 6 months what one do I follow lol xx

Whatever works for you and your body. There are infection risks with having sex before 6 weeks, but sometimes your libido is just too high. It’s so individual. Just think about how you feel and talk about it with whoever you’d be having sec with.

I got the implant two days after my c section done by doctor the hospital

I wanted to do it quick as possible I ain't risking it xx

They ask you in the hospital. So I said yes jab me up! 😆 I been on it for 9 years so I new that’s what I wanted to go on xx

My ob got me on at 6 weeks, to help keep my endo at ease.

I had my IUD placed within seconds after my baby was delivered via cesarean.

I had the implant fitted at 8 weeks, after the GP gave me the go ahead at my 6-8 week check up. No side effects so far.

tbh the hospital didnt really say alot i gave birth went back to my room was on drip then moved to another room that was 6 am someone came in offered me brackfast at 7 then see cleaner at 7m30 after that didnt see anyone till 11 was asked if wanted to go home sed yea so see hearing people had him checked over and that was it was free to go xx

I got the implant the day I left hospital, been fine on it and I had emergency operation xx

Mine was the same started the pill 21 days from birth x

Never was asked even at bubs 7 day check up or anything.

9 weeks as that is when we had our check up (my gp does 6-8 week check, and we were 9 weeks) didn't have sex until then either, despite trying a few times before

Pretty much after I had my daughter I went on the one that goes in the under arm. Love it.

I got mine at 6 weeks. I got the depo shot cause I was breastfeeding and my doctor told me if I didn’t take the pill at the same time every day I would get pregnant and I was forgetting A lot so I didn’t want to risk it. But the depo sucked I gained a lot of weight. Now I don’t use birth control I just track my cycle with the flow app

Y OB talked about it with her when I was roughly 30 weeks preggo. At my 6wpp check up I got it. Actually they were backed up so I went back and got it at 8wpp. I got mirena and 5 years later i still love it
