I completely understand your concerns. My BMI is high and I have PCOS. We did several cycles of IUI. I continue to workout and eat healthy. My doc mentioned my weight but it didn’t stop us from moving forward.

I get where you’re coming from. I’ve been working with a Reproductive Endocrinologist at a fertility clinic since September ‘21 and before our first appt I was STRESSED that all they were going to focus on was my weight. They didn’t even mention it. Since then we’ve talked with our doctor about it (he put me on metformin and said it could make me lose a few pounds) but they have never pressured me to lose weight or made it a requirement to move forward.

My appointment actually went really well. I was the same, they did mention my weight but they were far more positive about it compared to other doctors I’ve spoken to. She recommended some meds and referred me to some people who can support me in trying to lose weight. I could have cried after the appointment, first time I’ve felt positive in years!
That’s great! So happy for you!
I've just been referred to a fertility consultant after my diagnosis. I'm terrified of them just telling me to loose weight as I have been hearing that for so long. And I'm trying, I really am but I can't seem to shift anything.
Thank you for your comment! It’s so disheartening though isn’t it? I’m the same, I eat the best I can and try and go out walking etc but if I’m loosing any weight it feels like a pound a month 🙄 good luck with your journey ❤️
