Hey! Massive congratulations on your baby girl ✨🤗 it sounds like it was a bumpy road getting there thanks for the info it’s good to hear from someone - I find with Pcos the docs are quick to reassure you it’s not uncommon but I don’t find it gets talked about a lot and the reading online is sometimes difficult reading! Best of luck with baby girl and congrats again thanks for sharing x
Hi Sarah - had a similar experience here. Was diagnosed with PCOS and had a few irregular cycles (90 days following a miscarriage), I was put on Metformin which regulated my cycles immediately. Once I had my period we were able to get pregnant right away, but struggled to stay pregnant. With the help of fertility doctors they did all sorts of tests and were able to identify our issue (a chromosome abnormality on my side which they said would result in miscarriage 90% of the time). We then decided to go down the IVF route where a test was developed for us to test our embryos so we knew which once were ‘good’ and should result in a healthy baby. Last September we started the process and got 18 embryos. 11 made it to day 5 and we’re sent for the specialized test. Of the 11, 3 were ‘good’. We transferred one of the three in November and just had a healthy baby girl in June. It’s been quite a journey but totally worth it in the end. Best of luck to you!!
