Periods

So I had my baby almost 6 months ago now and I thought I got mu period back last month but now it gone again and it's weirding me out a bit. I took a pregnancy test just in case it was negative but I took it at night does that make a difference? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I had my baby 6 months ago as well and got my first period back last month. I was meant to get it again last week according to my period tracker but I haven't got it yet either. I heard that they can be quite irregular, especially if breastfeeding which I am.

Ah me too. There's just not a large amount of info once you are past the immediate post partum stage

After few days i had my baby in September, the hospital offered me birth control / the bar, and like 6 months later ive been experiencing bad mood swings everyday and my periods come and go or it’s just spotting

At 4 months post partum I had my period return and then I sort of lost track… at 5+ months post partum I was exceedingly tired and (I can’t remember exactly but) I think I also took some negative home pregnancy tests. My fatigue didn’t go away (different to newborn caring fatigue) so I took a blood test and it was negative for pregnancy…. Lo and behold I took a pregnancy test at home 2 weeks later after my period still didn’t return and discovered I was actually 8 weeks pregnant (!!). This was very welcome for hubby and I, but it showed me to with your gut, and get a blood test if unsure (although… mine was inaccurate in the end which is crazy??!). Hope that doesn’t scare you! Although, like the other mums here have said, and from what I’ve heard, can be normal t have irregular periods post partum as well. I was pretty regular pre-baby…. Maybe wait a week or so and take another test? Good luck xx

And re taking it at night, I’d follow the instructions on the packet for best results, have heard the pregnancy hormones are higher in the morning so some packets advise morning is best. Retake it if unsure ?
