IUD placed incorrectly

Yall I’m very scared I’m pregnant again. My OB placed my IUD, 4 weeks later I came back for a check up and was found out that it was placed incorrectly. They took it out and put in a new one correctly however my husband and I had sex twice in the four week span time that it was just in there WRONG! once with ejaculation inside. I’m very scared I may be pregnant again. What should I do?! Could I be pregnant?!

Definitely take a pregnancy test at your ob office that is going to be the best place for you to get the best results. I got pregnant with my second 4-6 weeks after I had my first baby. It’s okay to be scared or nervous, just take a pregnancy test if it shows up negative wait 2-3 weeks and take another or go to your ob to take a blood test.

You don't need to see ob for test. All tests are pretty much created equal. The dollar ones at dollar tree are just as accurate. Take a test. Just cuz it was positioned wrong doesn't mean it definitely wasn't working tho or that you definitely got pregnant. But test to ease your mind

@Kristina I’m Having to wait until either my next period or 4 weeks after that sex altercation :( which was 2 weeks ago:(

Have you had a period yet? You're most likely to get preggo during a small ish ovulation window. Which is midway in your cycle typically. You can then test right before your period or right after, which is about 2 weeks. So it's possible you could get accurate results now. They are so cheap, personally I'd test now and then again in a couple weeks.

@Kristina yes , I did get my period, but we had the unprotected sex like, 2 days before my period started.

Not impossible, but not unlikely that you got pregnant then. Download a fertility tracking app and it will show you days of most and least fertile. In and around your period is the last likely days to get pregnant.

@Kristina the only reason why I recommend consulting with the ob is because every persons body is different and having another child soon after your first can come with risk factors in any case and her doctors/ob need to be aware.

@Sharidan but only if she's actually pregnant. Personally I wouldn't want to pay for a visit over a scare that's easily found out by test at home. 🤷‍♀️
