It’s very unlikely to pass the bacteria to baby. Group b strep is very common and so many people have no clue that they even carry the bacteria. The antibiotics are simply a precaution to limit the risk of sepsis but it’s not likely. Keep in mind also that a lot of women test negative and by time they are in labor their status has changed and they have no idea they go on to deliver healthy babies without the antibiotics. Take some deep breaths.
Super unserious don’t even let it cross your mind 🤍
I had it with my first. I know it's just one more thing messing up the plan. The emotions are real and I get it. I feel silly now I made the big deal I made of it a few years ago. Many of us will have it. I anticipate testing positive again next week. I just did the antibiotics and all was well.
Just get the antibiotics, you’ll be fine.
It’s just a bacteria we carry it’s not anything serious it can come n go in each pregnancy u just need to be on antibiotics about a hour before you give birth so it don’t pass to baby. I’ve had it my last pregnancy and this pregnancy but not my first , my babies are fine , even if u don’t make the antibiotics very low risk to baby getting it
