I developed a super rare combination of antibodies after I had my first, like immediately after! I had a blood test pre section roughly an hour before which were fine, and the bloods taken during my section showed this combination. For me it meant a 4 day stint hospital where both mine and my newborns bloods were clotting. Thankfully it was resolved super quickly and we’ve both had no complications since. I am worried about what will happen this time, and I’m consultant led this time around as a result. It depends on the combination of antibodies you’ve developed about what it can mean, but trust if you’ve not been called into hospital that it’s nothing scary xx
I had a mixture of antibodies in my first pregnancy. Some of them can cause issues for baby but some can cause complications for you. You should be under consultant led care so ask them what this means for your delivery. With my first pregnancy my little boy just needed bloods when he was born which were fine In this pregnancy I’ve got less tricky antibodies so when I go into labour I just need bloods doing immediately so they can get blood ready to give to me if I need it post delivery
I may be completely wrong but I thought this was that you had a different blood type to the baby, which will just mean that at some stage in your pregnancy you’ll be offered an anti-d injection to protect baby in case of your blood mixing. Sorry if this is completely off the mark though, but was my understanding of it.
