I’d go to an RE to take some tests and discuss options first. You don’t necessarily need to jump straight to IVF since there may be other options for your situation

I would try for a bit more and if you do get your positive take progesterone x I think In your case it’s you can get pregnant but you can’t stay pregnant due to the losses . So I would suggest to do some testing , check your cervix too . But I have a friend they had 2 rounds of IVF both ended in a loss and then 2 months later they conceived naturally. I would also suggest taking Maca Root for both you and your partner x

I’m so sorry that you’re playing the waiting game. It’s so unknown and the stress on our bodies while we wait is so heavy. I too took a long time to successfully carry a pregnancy to full term. Here’s my experience, and maybe you can take something from it. I’m also 35 In my first pregnancy, it took 14 months with three MC, I started the process with IVF (just consultations, testing and blood work), and we happened to fall pregnant naturally in the meantime. I was also seeing a naturopath and was taking a good prenatal, vitamin d, CoQ10 and omega 3/DHA. I cut out gluten and dairy. I really think it was cutting out the dairy and gluten that helped. Plus, my diet was very clean and healthy. Also, while I was being tested, I had a SHG and an HSG exam, which are known to ‘reawaken your uterus’. Straight after I conceived. I think it was a combination of everything. The second time around, it took a year again, and we had multiple MC (11 and 17 weeks). My doctors recommended not using

..progesterone and that it was important to trust my body when an egg wasn’t healthy. That said, my progesterone levels had been tested and they were fine.

Thanks for all of the comments! I had done many blood work and 2D/3D scan which shows the uterus/ovaries and fallopian tubes were all clear. My progesterone at Day 23 of last cycle was 69.5 so don't think I have a low progesterone. Amh was 17.3pmol/l and antra follicle count was 16. My prolactin this time was a bit elevated compared to my December results so I had to repeat the test. Not sure if there's anything else that needs to be tested. I did some immunology one for lupus and anti prophalipids they were negative. It was actually the ob-gyn who suggested IVF and IVF with genetic testing, if we do not continue to try naturally. Not sure why fertility drugs like Clomid was ruled out.

@Nicol yes this is what I fear, if we spend the money for IVF there could still be a chance it may fail. And I've heard many stories too that IVF failed for people and then they concieved naturally.. might look further into maca root! I am already actually taking so many supplements including coq10 and omega/DHA separately and probiotics aside to the daily supplement 😄 my husband definitely doesn't want more supplements 😅

@Kelly thank you for sharing your experience! I have tried to avoid gluten and dairy as I've gluten and lactose Intolerances. I wasn't entirely sure of dairy and read full fat milk was good so I'm still taking the lactose free version. Not sure which is right! What prenatal did you take before? It seems like maybe miscarriages are just common, perhaps more so for 35 and above...I suppose it may be inevitable..

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a few years now My first pregnancy was a molar pregnancy, and then I had 3 losses always between weeks 5-8. After the fourth loss we went to a fertility specialist. We did the testing and they weren't able to find what was causing these issues. We then were put on clomid and lost the pregnancy at 7.5 weeks. We tested the tissue and we're able to see that there was a chromosomal issue (similar to a molar pregnancy). Since I'm losing the pregnancy at the same time each time, there is a good chance that all 5 of my losses are due to a chromonsal issue. I'm now starting ivf and getting the pgt testing done. If the issue is Chromosomal, my best chances of A success id through ivf. While I could keep trying on my own, honestly at this point I'm so burnt out that the ivf process is making me miserable. I honestly wish I was able to look at a fertility specialist before I got to that point, but obviously it's expensive so that wasn't an option at the time.

@Chelsea thanks for sharing and I'm sorry for your losses..I completely understand, I'm also getting tired tbh..when you said you wished you could look at a fertility specialist before that point, did you mean for the IVF? I read most losses that ended early are due to chromosomal issues..I think for mine it's probably the same case. How is the IVF going? All the best to you and your husband!

Hi, we ended up doing ivf with genetic testing. Best thing we ever did, we could fall pregnant but the miscarriages were so hard to deal with. Ivf won’t work for everyone, but we got lucky, and probably would have fallen pregnant with a successful embryo naturally, but it reduced great deal of stress for us. 1 round of the genetic testing cost £10k, with a 30% chance of working
