I would try joining the group for your area on here and see if any moms want to meet up! You may also find groups on Facebook or just going out to your local park and common areas you may find someone you vibe with
Keep waving at people on here who live near you! Even if you don't pay for the app, if you and someone else wave at each-other it will show you who it was so you can message them. Also don't be afraid to send people you think you may click with a message! I didn't think I'd find a real friend on here, I more joined for the ability to ask questions in the groups, but I've found a really good friend! We waved at each-other and she sent me a message. If you're a Christian, church is a great place to find friends. And don't be afraid to befriend people who are older than you. They tend to be more loyal than a lot of people our age, and also tend to have great advice. (They'll also LOVE to love on your baby.) Some of my favorite friends are my high school home-ec teacher, 2 ladies my mom's age, and my childhood best friend's grandma.
There are usually Facebook groups for your town moms and sometimes a neighborhood group even. Join those and see if anyone wants to get together with young babies. Also going to local library baby time was big for me. Met some girls with babies the same age and we started doing play dates for the kids. A year later after numerous play dates, they are some of my best friends. And wildly we all had our second babies right around the same time.
My husband and I don't go out much anymore. We don't have many friends, growing up to have a family now is our priority in life. Our friends are at a different stage and that's okay. It's okay to try and still keep in touch, and it's okay to want to prioritize your family now that you're in this new stage of life. Some people will never understand and that's okay too. Doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. But I'd say to make new friends with other parents, either through this app or at events for families. 💗🫶
