Please help - positive test but I have seen blood?

My husband and I tried to conceive this month and then I had some very light spotting last week (my period is due this week). I think I spotted for maybe 3-4 days but on one of the days, when I strained for the toilet, a bright red amount of blood (wipeable) came out. I presumed my period had come early but then I never saw any blood again. I decided to test this morning just incase as my consultant said to contact straight away if I’m pregnant. I have a positive? I had the tiniest bit of blood again though when I wiped so could this be a very early pregnancy loss/late period/negative positive? I’m really confused. I don’t want to tell my husband as I don’t want to get his hopes up. We have already had two pregnancy losses in the past year. Any help would be appreciated.

That's definitely a positive. How far along would be 2 weeks? If it's only when you wiped and stopped, I wouldn't be too concerned, but I would get into in touch with your dr
But I had one day last week where I had bright red blood when I wiped (potentially even a mini clot) but that can’t be a late period as it’s a week before my period was even due so I’m just doubting that I’m really pregnant. I’ll contact my consultant now. Thanks all.
It’s not as common but I have heard people having implantation bleeding that is bright red. I think the fact that it is only when you wipe is promising. But I think it’s good to contact your consultant to get answers. Best of luck 🤞🏻💕

I would assume you had implantation bleeding. I would still reach out to your doctor to get your HCG tested. As soon as I have had positives my doctor has always done testing to make sure the HCG is doubling. Wishing you the best in this pregnancy 💕
