False positives are rare and false negatives are common. Just keep that in mind too. If you used blue dye tests it’s even more likely to get an incorrect result. Only test in the morning with the first pee of the day after you wake up or hold for 6-8 hours to get it more concentrated. If you test really early too before your expected period it’s very likely to get negative results because hormone production hasn’t picked up fully. Definitely is worrisome when you get both positive and negative results. Just make sure you get that blood test at the bare minimum and try to get an ultrasound too since sometimes even the blood test is inconclusive (very very rare)
If you are early on digital tests won't necessarily show as they need higher levels of HCG. Always test first thing in the morning. Personally I prefer pink dye tests.

@marni I have gotten a false positive before. It does happen but it is rare with the urine tests and even more rare with blood tests.
Get a blood test. It’s the only sure fire way to know. Also an ultrasound as well for what would be the expected 8-10 week time. The home tests very frequently do have problems so blood testing and ultrasounds will tell and show you if you are
