it doesn't burn as I just can't go. I'm "pushing" to go but nothing is coming out so definitely not holding it in 😄

I'm currently in bed and put a towel underneath in case I have an accident overnight but honestly, I can't even get comfy to try sleep. I would take the accident at this point if needed as I just want to get what feels like a waterfall to come out now as it's so sore 😔 x

I might have to... I just don't understand how I've had over a litre of water in an hour and nothing has come out 😔

So basically a uti can cause inflammation in your urethra which blocks the urine from coming out. I honestly would give 111 a ring because if you have a full bladder and no way to relieve yourself it might end up damaging your kidneys If it goes on for too long ☹️x

I know it sounds crazy, but it dead ass works. Slam it. If you’re having that much trouble, drink two. But it works

Have you tried going for a shower to see if that maybe helps relax you or tricks you into peeing? It always makes me go. Or drinking a fizzy drink xx

Get cranberry water. I used to drink a whole carton of this and water through out the day. And I cleared up my UTI without antibiotics. They say just keep trying to go whenever u feel the urge. It should come sooner or later. Or take ibuprofen to reduce any inflammation that might be making it harder to pee.

I've spoken to 111 and hopefully getting some tablets from pharmacy tomorrow, depending what they say

I had a shower and nothing 😔 I will try a fizzy drink in the morning as I don't want to be awake all night if possible. Not slept at all and I'm already exhausted after a rough night with little one yesterday aha!

I just spoke to 111 and they advised against ibuprofen but I'll see if I can get some cranberry water tomorrow - thank you!

I managed a few small wees since 3am 🥹 it's still sore but no where near as bad and I'm due to go to pharmacy soon to see what they advise/hopefully get some antibiotics

yeah, I think I had it after the birth and just for the first night from memory as I had my emergency c-section in the morning

Apparently a catheter can be a cause of recurring uti’s because there may have been a bacteria introduced to your urinary tract. I imagine you might need a little bit of a longer course of antibiotics but I’d definitely say to speak to your doctor 😊. I can imagine it’s so painful and downright depressing so definitely seek medical help and get yourself better!🥰

😔 not ideal.

I just looked in my calendar and it's like clockwork around 13/14 days ago and the same time before that. I don't want to get more tablets then be fine and be here again in 2 weeks so I really hope there's something else that can maybe be done... The last course of antibiotics was 3 days.

I think I'm going to go to pharmacy when it opens in a couple of hours and call GP on Monday x

Might just be that the course of antibiotics isn’t long enough for it to get better. Might be on the verge of getting better and then the antibiotics course ends so it doesn’t fully get rid of it 😕 fingers crossed for you x

I got some more antibiotics (3 days worth again, they wouldn't do more) and they have helped but the pharmacy were reluctant to give them to me so I'm getting anxious if this happens again, they will refuse them and I'll be in more pain.

I'm going to do an e-consult on Monday with my GP to and see what they advise as I can't keep going through this mentally or physically 😔

Definitely speak to your gp, the chemist might not be able to give more than 3 days without testing. I assume the gp will test your urine and that way they can assure that you do definitely have a uti. (I know that you know what it is but they can’t go off people’s word sadly 😕) keep drinking PLENTY of fluids and make sure you’re very clean and hopefully you’ll be able to get some answers 🩷 here if you just need someone to chat to!x
