It can take 6 months to settle, I've also found that different brands do different things for me. One time I spotted non-stop for 6 months and another I didn't bleed at all. Some people say it causes weight gain but I can't say I noticed. Definitely helped regulate my moods a bit though.
The only time I have an issue with bleeding is if I forget one or take it a couple hours too late. But other than that I’ve never had any issues. It definitely helped to regulate my moods too x
I had no issues. Never bled with it.
Mini pill is the only thing that has regulated my periods so they’re barely existent (slight spotting every 3-4 months) and I’m less spotty, hairy and moody. For context, I had heavy horrible periods with strong PMS symptoms and I’ve tried different combined pills, implant and copper coil but mini pill is best FOR ME. Every single woman is different so honestly it’s trial and error, you just have to give it a go and see how it affects you…just sharing a positive experience!
I’ve had the mini pill for a few months, bled constantly on one brand and had noticeable mood changes and have been switched to another and both have stopped! Still waiting to see if I stay settled on it x
I had ibs type symptoms with it. Spent a fortune trying to figure out what was wrong and then stopped that and everything was fine Like most things, will vary for different people. x
@Cal I had this issue on the mini pill and the implant! I genuinely thought I had an allergy or IBS🤯🤯🤯🤯x
I fell pregnant w my first baby on the mini pill and it makes your acne worse x
I bled from the minute i took it until I stopped taking it, 6 months of constant bleeding unfortunately :( However, I bled everyday for 2 years solid on the nexplanon implant too. I’ve had no luck at all with contraception
