Zika virus zone & pregnant
Hi
I am 5 weeks pregnant & have recently returned from a Zika virus zone for holiday. Has anyone been in this position before , did the hospital test for this? Thank you.

Thank you. It seems low. We began trying when we got back thinking it would take a while as I have pcos but it happened on the first month (feeling very lucky) but also worried but I’m sure it will be okay. 🙏

They normally ask at your booking in appointment if you’ve been to a country with Zika so if you let them know they may test to be safe. Depending on where you’ve been though the risk should hopefully be low. Do a bit of research into the country you’ve been to see just how many infections etc they’ve had recently.
