@Lesley heyyy the nursery that my LO currently goes to split the 30 hours over the whole year as they're open all of the holidays and she can go there until she's 4 then move up to the school nursery when she's turns 4 so basically at the minute we get the 15 hours free but she uses 10 hours a week so that she can still go during the holidays. Then when baby turns 9 months old I'd also be entitled to 16 hours childcare but I think il take a year out of work again like I did with my first and only go back to work part time like I do now
I'm due in October and I'm keeping my lo in nursery. She currently does 4 days but I'm increasing to 5 then. I reckon it'll be easier than having my toddler at home and a newborn! 😂
@Tanya ahh congrats, yeah my LO currently goes 1 morning and 1 afternoon, but I'll be increasing to 4 or 5 by the time second gets here as we should be entitled to more hours by then, she lives nursery so I'm sure she won't have an issue going more days then that means I can send more one on one time with baby like I did with my first born x
Nursery is a godsend! My big guy goes 3 days a week, which is lovely for my little guy as it means he gets some one to one attention. I class my days with only the littlest one as a break!!!
Baby number 2 due September Baby number 1 will be in nursery Monday, Tuesday and half Wednesday. My mum will also be around on Fridays to help me out so the only day I’ll be on my own with both is Thursday
I have my toddler and a 5 month old. 😅 my MIL takes my toddler on Wednesdays and I have them the rest of the week. It’s far easier being out of the house. You would have to check with your nursery. I always hear people say ‘free’. Isn’t it only term time and then you probably have to go to childcare full time to get the 30 hours.
