June baby

Well it would seem likely that my baby is going to be a little June baby, I weirdly had my heart set on him being a July baby as his official due date is July 14th, but my induction is next week so June works for me too. Feeling nervous, excited, and overwhelmed all at the same time!

Hey. When are you being induced? My due date is 13th July. But I am booked in for induction next Friday 28th June xx

@Stephanie my hospital give a 3 day window, so anytime from Monday until Wednesday next week. I've already been an inpatient for 2 weeks so it couldn't come soon enough x

I’m in the same boat. due 26th July but induction is booked for Monday, possibly sooner. Good luck with everything x

Im due July 17th and being induced on Wednesday! (Pprom). Good luck!! X

@Chloe good luck to you too x

@Adele mad to think we I'll all have our babies so soon. I'm being induced for pre-eclampsia which isn't helped by gestational diabetes x

How are you all booked so early?! I’m due the 5th but not being induced til the 6th. I’m so so fed up! Seeing this just makes me even more infuriated 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 for myself that is, I just want him outtttt

@Savannah I have GD also and currently waiting for results to check for preeclampsia as my protein in urine is high and I have swollen feet and hands, but my BP is fine. How did they diagnose your preeclampsia and how quick?

@Kayleigh I just got really swollen feet and ankles out of nowhere, my blood pressure was becoming a pain again as I already had issues, then suddenly I had lots of protein In my urine. I ended up having to stay in hospital and it's been 2 weeks now and I'm here until he's out.

My due date is 15th of July and I’m being induced on 29th of June

@Kayleigh because most people are induced early for medical reasons. I'm being induced Monday, due to medical reasons but I'm not actually due til the 8th of July. They wouldn't induce you early, just because you've had enough, as being induced doesn't come without its risks 🤷‍♀️

@Savannah madness, I literally have the same symptoms apart from high BP, I have strep B and GD too and yet they don’t seem bothered, I might go get a second opinion cuz I’m not happy n feel they’re not taking me seriously

@Frankie I have plenty of medical issues going on tho, that’s what I don’t understand, I just feel they’re not listening or not takin me seriously at all 🤦🏻‍♀️😫

@Kayleigh my waters broke at 28 weeks and it’s no longer safe to continue so he has to be out next week 😪

@Kayleigh strep B and GD can easily be managed it’s if your waters broke then they would probably induce you early. Otherwise those two conditions are easily managed and as someone else said induction isn’t without risk unfortunately. The team will be weighing up risk vs benefit for you and your little one.

@Kayleigh I think with me the GD was managed fine, but my blood pressure has caused me a few admissions prior to this admission and wasn't as stable which is why they have chosen induction. As happy as I am to know next week I'm meeting my baby I still would have preferred a natural labour with less risk x

@Kayleigh oh really!? What's going on if you don't mind sharing? X

Hey I’m also Bristol and due exactly a week before you if you’d like to message at all! I might end up having a June baby too, I have to have one more scan and they are making a decision but they’ll induce at 39w if not anyway! X

I’ve been induced twice and don’t like the hormone drip. It’s unnatural for us to give birth on our backs. It’s better to be on our left side, on all 4’s etc. I’ve opted not to get induced this time as it felt rushed. And also due to trauma with my last baby. If this one wants to come early so be it, but if at all I get panicky or scared I have opted for C-section. Good luck to all of you who are going to be induced. And more importantly it’s for the safety of mummy and baby’s health.

Exciting times. We’ve got the same due date. However little one is breech still so have opted for C-section on the week that I’ll be 39 weeks unless he decides to turn in that time. Feeling all of the emotion now I’m excited, nervous but of course very happy just want it to be here now!
