My waters didnât break and I didnât know I was in labour đ at my 36+4week scan they told me she wasnât growing fast enough and booked me for another scan at 37 weeks where I would be induced if baby still isnât growing enough. I went to that appointment and they told me everything was fine until she realised I was already in labour and I was 3cm dialated. I had been getting (what I thought was) braxton hicks for about 2 days before it.they said to go home and come back in a couple hours I barely made it home and had to leave again because the contractions were getting closer together I was 5cm dialated and they gave me paracetamol (which I brought back up) and then gas and air (which was the same) i ended up getting remifetinol (not how itâs spelled) and at 7cm dilated,at 1:23am, I had my healthy baby girl 3 weeks early
@Jade Flower 100000% agreed with the stitches
I loved giving birth! People say your body just knows what to do and it's true. I used some hypnobirthing techniques which I think really helped. There's lots of different books, websites and apps. I used the positive birthing co. I also hired a TENS machine which I used at home before I went to hospital. Just stuck it on, sat on a birthing ball in my bedroom in the dark and breeeeeathed! We went to the hospital about 7.30 and she arrived just before 11. Had a water birth and gas and air. You'll be totally fine!!
I had a really great birth too! Started about 2am I was getting cramps and needing the loo every 2-15minutes so I just dozed when I could until around 7am. We had an ultrasound app. that morning so drove through and I was still getting cramps but literally was in complete denial and almost went back home but my bf pulled over and said 'we need to go back' đ that was about 10am. Had some difficulties checking me and I had a bit of high blood pressure but as soon as they managed and found out I was 4cm dilated my blood pressure went normal again, around 12pm. I had a water birth with paracetamol, most amazing experience ever! Hot water was instant relief. It was just me and my partner and a midwife and I just breathed as easily as I could and rode each wave. Worst bit was just before she came out but that only made me push harder and she arrived at 6pm! I mostly remember panicking that my midwife was going to leave before she was born (shift change was at 6:30) and by about 5pm I was starving đ
Oh, also my daughter was quite chill and still during the majority of labour but at one point she just decided to roll over right when the midwife was checking her heartbeat. That was weird but amazing feeling her in the birth canal! I felt so empowered after!

Hello, I had a great experience. Iâm such a woose, so I chose to prepared myself by watching one born every minute⌠My waterâs broken at 7:30pm at night and I had my daughter at 11:28pm at night with no pain relief. Less than 4 hours is pretty lucky for my first. The worst part was being stitch up..i also had a first degree tear so I was extremely lucky. DONT BE SCARED, practice your breathing!! Xxx
