Best non-Dairy Milk🥛for Kids? 🚫🐄

Both my husband & I are lactose intolerant, and our 9 month old is on lactose sensitivity formula. Any recommendations on a good milk alternative for kids when she hits that12-month mark? I've heard Ripple might be the best option... any others out there?

Okay cool, thanks for the recommendations ladies!

You can make your own with almonds, oats, or hemp!

@Brooke🪬🧿👽 My husband was saying hemp is a really good substitute for some of the things kids would get from regular milk. We were thinking about adding that to our daughter's daily smoothies as she gets older.

i’d try lactose free whole milk first. just bc that is nutritionally closest to what they’d be getting from regular whole milk

Have you tried raw A2A2 milk? Most milk unless labeled otherwise is A1 which is genetic mutation that introduced beta-casein (which is actually what most people are intolerant to). Add in that pasteurization kills off all the beneficial elements in milk. And your left with your average commercial milk with minimal benefits. Where as raw A2 beta-casein milk, is easier to digest for many, especially those with lactose intolerance or sensitivity. It contains higher levels of certain nutrients, such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium, compared to regular milk. And has way more benefits than pasteurized A1 milk, such as improved gut health, reduced inflammation, and increased calcium absorption. We used non-dairy milk with my oldest (who had FPIES reactions to dairy) until we healed his gut. I really liked Califia Farms & Forager Project milks. Both were organic, unsweetened, & had minimal clean ingredients. I occasionally made my own non-dairy milks which were definitely cheaper & tasted better.

I thought we were too but turns out raw milk is fine !

My husband recently started making cashew milk for our household. We add vanilla, dates and cacao to some batches. Our almost 9 month old loves it!

I’m lactose intolerant. I drink raw milk A2/A2
