@Gina yes I do it every night and it does nothing for me the next day
Ugh I’m sorry 😢 how many weeks are you? I was able to take zofran as needed after 24 weeks
I was prescribed 5mg dissolvable tablets in 1st trimester, and they were the best thing for me and my pregnancy, as I felt sick all day and couldn't eat much. There will always be risks you have to weigh up. I have a healthy girl 5mths, but I guess there are still risks I'd talk to a medical professional about.
Had it prescribed because of HG but it wasn’t helpful just made me severely nauseated 🤢.
Have you tried things like hard ginger candy, ginger tea, ginger ale, anything minty/peppermint, things like that?
I tried it and it didn’t work at all. The texture also made me throw up even harder. Zofran is what they prescribe to chemo patients to help them with their nausea as well. So I know it helps a lot of people-just didn’t help me. I was on Diclegis for both my pregnancies and it was the only thing that helped me at all. I could barely drink water without throwing up if I wasn’t on Diclegis. Supposedly, it’s a common prescription for HG in Europe, but not here? 🤷🏻♀️ Experienced no issues with it and neither did my babies. Complete relief though. And I was so desperate that getting relief for the whole pregnancy was such a miracle. The only struggle I had was my insurance approving it, because they’re buttheads. Lolol. Good luck.
I took it in the first trimester and a little bit in the second, no cleft palate. It helped a little but I needed more than zofran my hg was not fun.
I had severe morning sickness, I couldn't eat and that slowed my recovery from COVID. They prescribed me a small dose and I was able to feed myself and therefore feed my child. If you've done the research and still want it, you need to be blunt with your OB that you've weighed the risks and you need to take care of your body to keep your child healthy. A quick Google search shows how small the increase in risk is and that the studies haven't resulted in a 100% confirmation of those results.
I found it to be a godsend for my nausea. I already took it for my anxiety on occasion prior to pregnancy so I knew it worked well for me, though. When speaking with my GP and nurse practitioner in the early stages of pregnancy I expressed that it was something I wanted to continue taking for the nausea and they advised there is low risk especially if we tried to keep it to just 4-8mg a day (which we did). I know plenty of women who have taken it throughout pregnancy and had healthy babies. 🧡
My OB prescribes zofran for every patient that has nausea, & said she has NEVER had a baby come out w cleft pallet. However, I had to use unisom, B6, Zofran, Promethazine, all of it! For me, nothing worked other than waiting it out until the 2nd trimester): hope you feel better mama🩵
have you tried diclegis? (i think that’s how it’s spelled). it worked wonders for me
I was prescribed bonjesta, helped immensely with the terrible sickness I was experiencing
I was prescribed cyclizine with both of mine. There are different groups of anti sickness tablets that work on different types of sickness so ask for a different type. Cyclizine is technically an anti histamine but the dosage etc works on sickness
Have you tried Unisom & vitamin B6? I was in the same boat and that combo really helped me! It was recommended by my OB
